This 5 day course combines both Fibre units of the City & Guilds 3667-02 and is for those wishing to enter the communications cabling field or those who need an accredited qualification to progess. This popular 5 day course held at our training facility in South West London/Surrey and is a combined Internal & External Fibre Optic Cabling qualification. For the internal fibre unit candidates will learn installation procedures, splicing, connectorisation, termination and testing of fibre optic cables in an internal environment, you will splice in rack enclosures, patch panels, ODF's, wall mounted enclosures, mainly in datacomms environment. You will also learn how to use OTDR's, perform link testing using various test equipment, learn how to diagnose and rectify faults, read OTDR graphs. For the external fibre unit candidates will train to be competent in installation, splicing, termination and testing of fibre optic cables, learn to prepare external joint enclosures, prepare loop joints, work on a live singlemode fibre network within training lab be able test and troubleshoot networks in an external environment using OTDR's, ILM. A typical network maybe a Telecommunications networks like SDH, CWDM/DWDM, Metro Ethernet, Motorways, CCTV, Mobile Backhaul. To acheive the City & Guilds 3667 units 2 & 3 of the Level 2 Certificate in Fibre Optic Cabling in an Internal & External Enviroment, candidates will need to successfully complete both practical assessments and "GOLA" Multiple choice exams, which are carried out |
