This course covers the complete syllabus of the City & Guilds 3667-20 Communications Cabling qualification and is ideally suited to those who wish to have a career in this very exiting field.

This 9 Day course held in our training facility in South West London offers candidates a complete accredited City & Guilds 3667-02 Level 2 Certificate in Internal/External Fibre & Copper Cabling qualifications.

The course covers all of the units required to acheive the full City & Guilds 3667-02 qualification.  

Unit 101 is designed to give you the basic principles and covers aspects of health and safety, working practices, it also provides you with the key concepts of communication systems. You will study topics like basic math and basic electronics, This unit is the core of the C&G 3667-02 certification and must be completed in addition to the optional units to achieve the full level 2 Certificate in Communications Cabling.

Unit 102 Internal Fibre unit of this qualification candidates will learn installation procedures, splicing, connectorisation, termination and testing of fibre optic cables in an internal environment, you will splice in rack enclosures, patch panels, ODF's, wall mounted enclosures, mainly in datacomms environment.

Candidates will also learn how to use OTDR's, perform link testing using various test equipment, learn how to diagnose and rectify faults, read OTDR graphs.

Unit 103 Extrenal Fibre of this course candidates will learn to be competent in installation, splicing, termination and testing of fibre optic cables, learn to prepare external joint enclosures, prepare loop joints, work on a live singlemode fibre network within training lab be able test and troubleshoot networks in an external environment using OTDR's, ILM. A typical network maybe a Telecommunications networks like SDH, CWDM/DWDM, Metro Ethernet, Motorways, CCTV, Mobile Backhaul.

Unit 104 Internal Copper unit of this course candidates will learn installation procedures, termination and testing of copper cabling, Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6 typically in a LAN environment. Our fully equiped training facility enables you to train in a real world environment with live equipment without out the risk of network down time. Learn to use the latest test equipment to to carry out certification testing, diagnose and troubleshoot networks in our live training facility.

To acheive the City & Guilds 3667-02 Full Qualification Level 2 Certificate in Fibre & Optic & Copper Cabling in an Internal/External Enviroment & Basic Principles candidates will need to successfully complete both practical assessments and "GOLA" multiple choice exams, which are taken out on a computer.
